Giovanni Minelli

Giovanni Minelli

was born in 1976. After graduating from the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, in Milan, he started his practice as a designer and artist. His eclectic experience ranges from painting, alongside Mino Ceretti, to kinetic and programmed art with Davide Boriani, to design with Roberto Semprini. His oeuvre occupies a unique space between art object and industrial design, and his unique pieces are often found in the contemporary art gallery circuit. He created art installations, designed lamps for Fabbian, showed pieces at Dilmos Milan and at the Secondome gallery in Rome, where he presented his FiloBianco collection. Tables and chairs from his collections have been sold by the Tajan auction house in Paris. Together with the main exponents of Italian design, he was invited to take part to the “Italian Design for Unicef” project, shown during the inauguration of the Italian Design Museum at the Triennale in Milan. His projects succeed in combining artistic research with industrial design.
